Britannia Stadium : Stoke City FC This updated version of the 90 minute programme will give an overview of the standards and their effect on structured cabling.
This breakfast meeting has been put together by Barry Elliott BSc, MBA, RCDD, C.Eng, MIET, MCIBSE as a concise guide to "10 Gigabit today".
This is an updated version of the 10 Gigabit Breakfast Meetings held earlier this year, and in 2006.
Topics include:
- The 10G Family
- Optical Interfaces
- Copper Interfaces
- Cost vs Distance Models
The 90 minute programme will give an overview of the standards and their effect on structured cabling. Particular reference is made to the new IEEE 10 Gigabit Ethernet Standard which, on the 8th June 2006, was approved by the IEEE 802.3an task force. This, along with its sisters 802.3.ae (fibre standard) and 802.3.ak (coax standard), will form the backbone of the cabling standards being developed today.
The meeting is targeted at Cabling Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Facilities and IT Managers to give them a broad outline of the new standards, products, installation practices and testing.
It will give each delegate the opportunity to get his/her questions answered and to see some of the new products that are being developed for this market.
This event is free of charge.
